Zimbra 8.8 Provides Updates in User Experience and Tech Stack

Zimbra 8.8. The easy-to-use collaboration platform comes with new user
experience features such as Zimbra Drive for enterprise-level file sync
and sharing and Zimbra Chat. The Network Edition features tech stack
enhancements including real-time backup, ActiveSync across mobile and
desktop, hierarchical storage management (HSM) that enables customers to
move archival data to less expensive storage solutions, and improved
delegated admin functionality.

Zimbra Chat: Peer-to-peer text chat is now included in all
versions of Zimbra 8.8. Users will no longer need a third party to
host instant messages. These capabilities will be native to the
platform.

Zimbra Drive: Zimbra Drive allows users to host and manage file
storage, synchronization, and sharing. Customers benefit from enhanced
data security since users no longer need to access third party storage
tools to sync and share documents.

Real-Time Backup: Zimbra 8.8 ensures that no data is lost
during back-up. This is the first solution in the market that natively
enables real-time back-up allowing customers to reduce server space
required for back-up by up to 50 percent.

ActiveSync: With updated mobile and desktop syncing services,
customers can access all Zimbra functionality seamlessly across
devices.

Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM): The improved HSM allows
customers to move archival data to lower cost S3-compatible storage
services. This enhancement enables customers to save up to 50 percent
on storage space.

Delegated Admin: Zimbra 8.8 has a new-and-improved Delegated
Admin module. Customers can create a delegated admin in minutes
allowing hosting providers and large enterprises to decentralize core
admin functions while protecting platform stability and security.
