Synacor's Awards & Recognition

Every company likes to win awards, and we're no different. However, we take particular pride in awards reflecting the culture of Synacor that we work so hard to sustain.  We are committed to creating a high performance culture that values Innovation.  In January 2009 Synacor was a finalist and winner of the Innovate Buffalo award.  The Innovate awards honors ground-breaking and inventive companies that are leading the region's new economy.  The awards were based on company growth, innovation and investment in the regional economy.

Rules and restrictions that inhibit creativity have no place at Synacor.  Flexible work hours that accommodate employees with special scheduling needs, no dress code, 100% paid employee insurance (health, dental, & vision), and employee recognition programs are all ways in which Synacor supports our employees to contribute to the company's success.  Synacor won the 2007 Cyberculture Award for exhibiting a positive, productive and encouraging work environment.  Synacor was once again nominated for the 2009's Best Places Work in the Buffalo/Niagara area, by Buffalo's Business First newspaper.  This is an award which Synacor was finalist for in 2008 and 2007!

Synacor offers both a dynamic and unique environment to its employees.  It has been the Synacor motto to “work hard, play hard” and Synacor helps employees do just that by giving employees the freedom to do the work they were hired to do, and time to enjoy their accomplishments when hard work perseveres.  It is this very atmosphere that has earned Synacor the bragging rights to say we have an award winning environment!
