Houston Astros Website unveils new post-season section & form alliance with CHEK.com to offer free Fan E-mail.

The Houston Astros Web Site (www.astros.com) has unveiled two exciting new components in conjunction with the Astros clinching their second consecutive NL Central Division Championship.
First, the web site has launched an extensive post-season section featuring information on how to order tickets, potential schedules, a special merchandise section, a photo gallery, history, stats and much more. The merchandise section already includes 11 NL Central Division Championship items that fans can securely order online, including the t-shirt and cap the team wore when opening the champagne bottles last night. The photo gallery includes photos from the clubhouse celebration and the unveiling of the championship banner.
Another exciting new feature to www.astros.com is the free email now being offered by the club to all Astros fans. The e-mail service is provided to the Houston Astros by CHEK, Inc. an Internet communications firm. Astrosfan.net has been reserved as the new domain name for this free email account so you can reserve a new online email account with yourname@astrosfan.net. This free email service includes all the features that come with the most popular commercial email services, including address books, multiple folders and the ability to send or receive attachments. And since the email is web-based, you’ll be able to access your free email wherever and whenever you sign on to the World Wide Web.
