BUFFALO, N.Y., April 27 /PRNewswire/ — Synacor, a Buffalo company that
is enabling cross-platform delivery of content and services, announced
today that George Chamoun, co-founder and senior vice president, client
services, has been identified as one of the leading executives under
the age of 40 in the cable telecommunications industry.

Chamoun, a 34-year-old graduate of the State University of New York at
Buffalo and a native of the city, was honored by Multichannel News as
one of the publication’s “40-under-40” innovators and influential
individuals to watch. Chamoun was recognized for his role in the growth
of Synacor, which provides content choice and functionality for
broadband service providers and their residential and business
customers.

More than 10 million unique broadband subscribers access e-mail, the
Web and other services via some combination of Synacor’s broadband
portal, its value-added services and its proprietary platform. Time
Warner Cable, Charter Communications, Virgin Media and other customers
utilize Synacor white-label solutions and content packages to deliver
branded broadband experiences to their customers.

Synacor employs approximately 200 people, primarily at its headquarters
in downtown Buffalo.

“While I am grateful to be included in Multichannel News’ 2009
’40-under-40,’ this is hardly an individual honor,” said Chamoun.
“Synacor’s success is a direct reflection of the commitment and support
that we’ve received from our employees, our executive team and the
entire Buffalo community.”

Chamoun was a 1999 recipient of Ernst & Young’s “Upstate New York’s
Entrepreneur of the Year” award for his success in founding and growing
