GREENWOOD VILLAGE, CO and BUFFALO, NY – December 7, 2004 —
Adelphia Communications and Synacor, a leading provider of technology supporting
the delivery of bundled online services, today announced that Synacor’s Portelus
technology platform will be used to power Adelphia’s new High-Speed Internet
service customer home page that was jointly developed by Adelphia and Synacor.
The new home page will include many improvements over the existing customer home
page, including a wide variety of news from Associated Press, streaming media

of services. The redesigned portal will also allow Adelphia to rapidly introduce
new value-added services.

"Our new customer home page will further improve the value of
our High-Speed Internet service and provide the foundation for us to introduce a
wide range of value-added services. Synacor’s platform and existing
relationships with third-party service providers allows us to expand and evolve
our offering easily over time," said Karl Ossentjuk, Vice President of Internet
services project management for Adelphia.

Synacor’s platform, Portelus, enables a variety of online
content on the Adelphia High-Speed Internet customer home page to be fully
integrated and available through a single user-id, password, and interface.

"The Adelphia management team understands the importance of
adding value to its High-Speed Internet offerings. We expect to bring
significant personalization to Adelphia High-Speed Internet subscribers through
our platform to support their value-added services strategy," said Ron Frankel,

ability to partner effectively to provide the best high-speed experience
available, is certain to deliver great value to Adelphia consumers."
